Construction at Jurong East MRT
Pls take note!
NS Line trains to crossover to EW Line directly during peak hrs or return to Ulu Pandan Depot(inbetween JE/Clementi Stns) as the east side track is also linked to the EB track.
The west side is NB(twds Marina Bay).
So they have to build the new link to the new EB track as the current link will be use for SB trains to JE if one track is occupied.
Also a big area is needed to construct the holding base of the new pillars for the new track & for the construction vechicles to move about.
Just bear with it.
New Shopping Centre at Jurong East..
Bukit Panjang :
Also providing more updates on the Bukit Panjang MRT station, Dr Teo said there will be four exits.
"The first north-west exit will lead to Ten Mile Junction, the other one will lead to a cluster called the 600 Series, it's the Senja area. Then the South will be leading towards the Bukit Panjang Plaza area, and one more is the Heavy Vehicle part, Indian Temple area."
The Bukit Panjang MRT station will be located underground, and its four exits will have barrier-free accessibility to assist commuters with poor mobility.
Residents in Bukit Panjang can look forward to a sports complex with world-class infrastructure by the middle of 2010.
The Bukit Panjang Sports and Recreation Centre (SRC) will be co-located with a community club, allowing residents to enjoy both facilities under one roof.
[Like i say the MRT will start construction in 2010 or
2011 however the bus interchange
(according to internet sources) is only temporary.
A new bus interchange is going to be build.]
